Apply for a state extension to filing state tax return by filing the Form 204 by April 15. If you owe taxes, it must be paid by the April 15 to avoid interest and penality. If you extend federal tax return filing, the state tax return is automatically extended. When you file your tax return you must check the box 82F in the return.
